Jill’s brother brought her to her first Bikram Yoga class back in 2001. Jill had been running and working out with a trainer for quite a while. Like most people Jill was a little nervous about the heat, but she immediately fell in love with how the yoga made her feel both physically and mentally.

Jill attended Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in 2003. In 2004 Jill and her brother Brad opened their first Bikram Yoga studio in Boston. They went on to open two more studios and were studio owners for the next 14 years. Jill continues to be passionate about teaching Bikram Yoga. Her favorite part about teaching is seeing the “light” come on for students, or seeing students become aware – really aware – of how amazing they are, seeing their strength, determination and compassion. This is what sustains and inspires Jill to keep improving. Jill says, later in life, when we start to get injuries or feel a little “older,” she is fascinated by how the human body works and how to keep it healthy longer and as we age.
The universal challenge for everyone is time. We have to make an investment in ourselves: the most important person in your life is YOU. Take care of yourself so you have more for others.
Jill tells her clients: “Start easy, go slow, be consistent. You have the rest of your life to practice.”
