Join us for an evening that will make you feel good inside and out!
Beyond owning a yoga studio it was always my dream to use my business to create a lasting, positive effect on my local community. Everyday people come to our yoga studio, heal their bodies, their minds, and truly learn to love again. Through the course of continued practice, our yoga students open their minds and hearts and truly become better people. I see this process happening everyday. It brings me so much joy to witness someone walk into the studio with a frown and leave with a smile. Everyday the students who come to practice this yoga are improving their relationship with themselves and in turn are improving their relationship with the world.
Two years ago my desire to spread this message inspired me to create a scholarship. The scholarship is called the “Good Yogi Award”. Each year the Burlington High School scholarship committee selects a student to receive the scholarship. This student has displayed exemplary kindness, caring and respect in their community. It feels important to inspire young people not only to strive to be the best student or the best athlete, but also inspire them to be the best community member that they can be. The good qualities that we cultivate within us when we practice Bikram Yoga are extraordinary and it feels tremendous to recognize these qualities in others as we have begun to ignite them within ourselves. The past two years the studio has donated $500 to the Good Yogi Award, and this year we want to make it even bigger.
We will host a donation class at the studio on April 7th. The class will take place at 5:30pm and all donations from the evening will go towards the scholarship. Please join us for a great class and to inspire the community around us to love and be the best they can be!
